ABINGDON --- Death came Monday to Mrs. Edgar HUFFMAN, Abingdon, at the Ottumwa Hospital in Ottumwa where she had been a patient for the past five weeks. She died at 8:25 a.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Packwood Christian Church. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia to the church at 11 a.m. the day of the services.
Marjorie L. HUFFMAN, 51, was born July 3, 1916, in Wapello County, the daughter of Arthur and Velva SHANK STERLING. She had lived in Wapello and Jefferson County all her life. The family now resides on a farm near Abingdon.
She was married to Edgar HUFFMAN who survives. The marriage took place on May 11, 1940.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. HUFFMAN is survived by the following children: Mrs. Clark PETERSON, Minneapolis; Shirley HUFFMAN, student at Iowa State University at Ames; and Wallace Huffman, student at the University if Chicago.
Other survivors include one grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Velva STERLING, Hedrick; and four brothers, Dwight, Verle and Harry, all of Hedrick; and Virgil, Batavia.
She was preceded in death by her father.
