E. HUFFMAN dies at 67

ABINGDON --- Edgar HUFFMAN, 67, died Wednesday at 10:10 a.m. at Ottumwa Hospital where he had been a patient two days.

He was born May 2, 1911 in Abingdon, the son of John and Nancy ODUM HUFFMAN. He spent most of his life engaged in farming. He attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Batavia and was a member of the Abingdon Masonic Lodge.

He married Marjorie STERLING May 11, 1940. She died Oct. 2, 1967. On Oct 26, 1974 he married Marjorie McCARROLL who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Connie PETERSON of Louisville, Tex., and Shirley HUFFMAN of Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Wallace of Ames; one grandson; two stepdaughters; four stepsons and 18 step-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.

Services will be Saturday 1 p.m., at the Gospel Lighthouse Church with the Rev. Clarence DeBoef and the Rev. James Oleson officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.
