Martha Pearl HUFFMAN

Martha Pearl HUFFMAN, 81, of Baxter died at 9:30 Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at the Baxter health Care Center in Baxter.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in the Abingdon Cemetery in Abingdon. Family visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Baxter Health Care activities fund.

Mrs. HUFFMAN was born Nov. 30, 1917, in Jefferson County, the daughter if Herman and Mintie DAVIS DOROTHY. She married John Donald HUFFMAN Oct. 17, 1939, in Memphis, Mo. He died Nov. 22, 1990.

Mrs. HUFFMAN had lived in the Batavia and Fairfield communities before moving to Baxter in 1995. She was a homemaker and former member of the Abingdon Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Huffman of Utica, Ill, and Don Huffman of Batavia; four daughters, Janet SCHMITZ of Ralston, Neb., Sharon BOETTCHER of Moulton, Colleen RUGGLES of Packwood and Virginia BUCKLER of Baxter; one brother, Arvid DOROTHY of Batavia; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Orlie, Floyd and Carroll Dorothy; and one sister, Amy.
