DEATH TAKES MRS. HUDSON

One of Jefferson county's oldest residents passed away at the Jefferson county hospital last night. She was Mrs. John R. HUDSON, 93, Abingdon, who had lived in Jefferson county all of her life.

Her death came at 11 p.m. Friday after she had been a patient at the hospital for the past five weeks.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Christian church in Abingdon, with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Abingdon cemetery. The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the family home in Abingdon Sunday afternoon.

Elizabeth Charlotte HUDSON was born April 27, 1854, in Jefferson county, the daughter of the late J. M. and Mary JONES CLARK. She was united in marriage to John R. HUDSON, who preceded her in death in June, 1923. Mrs. HUDSON had made her home in Abingdon since 1908.

She is survived by two sons, E. H. and Arthur HUDSON, both of near Batavia, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. T. D. CUDDY, Hedrick, and Mrs. Mary SMITH, Ottumwa.

Transcribed for genealogy purposes, I am related to this family.
