DeGOOD funeral Wednesday

Lois Marie DeGOOD, 64, of 1000 E. Madison, died Sunday at Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born March 29, 1931 (sic - 1921), in Jefferson County, the daughter of Grover and Hazel DAVIS McELVAIN. She married Leo W. DeGOOD Nov. 23, 1940, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Mrs. DeGOOD was a homemaker and had helped with the family farm in Polk Township for 25 years before moving to town. She had lived her whole life in Jefferson County.

She is survived by her husband and her mother. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience beginning Tuesday at noon.

Memorials may be left to Abingdon Church of Christ.
