Ralph DeGOOD Taken In Death

ABINGDON -- Ralph DeGOOD, 78, died at the Jefferson County hospital at 3:30 a.m. today after an illness of two weeks.

He was born Aug, 25, 1884 in Jefferson county, the son of Bryant and Olive JONES DeGOOD. He spent most of his life in the Abingdon community where he was engaged in farming. He married Vera MYERS on Oct. 7, 1908. She died in 1954.

Surviving are one son, Leo DeGOOD of Fremont; four brothers, Ted and Orlo DeGOOD of Batavia, Rollie DeGOOD of Drakesville, Lovell DeGOOD of Fairfield; and one sister, Mrs. Perry SNYDER (sic - SNIDER) of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one brother.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Abingdon Christian church conducted by the Rev. Kermit Black. Burial will be in Abingdon cemetery. The body is at the Campbell funeral home in Batavia.
