Ted DeGOOD, 78, Taken In Death

BATAVIA --- Ted DeGOOD, 78, died at the Fairfield Convalescent Home Tuesday afternoon after an illness of two years.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 1, 1891, in Jefferson County, the son of Bryant and Olive JONES DeGOOD. He was a lifetime farmer and lived on the farm four miles east of Batavia for the past 53 years. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.

His marriage to Ruah KRAMER took place on March 1, 1916. She survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorsey HANEY of Batavia and two grandchildren; two brothers, Lovel DeGOOD of Fairfield and Orlo DeGOOD of Batavia; and one sister, Mrs. Neta SNIDER of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
