BATAVIA --- Funeral services for Mrs. Maude E. BAKER, 88, Batavia Route 2, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Abingdon Church of Christ.
Mrs. BAKER died Monday at the Jefferson County Hospital. Services will be conducted by Rev. Dave Wegner. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. The body will be taken from Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia to the church Thursday at 11 a.m.
Mrs. BAKER was born Jan. 5, 1879 at Brookville, the daughter of Isaac and Ellen LEWMAN HUPP. She married Fred C. BAKER Nov. 21, 1900.
Surviving are five children: Mrs. Grace PETERSON, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Gertrude DAVIS, Abingdon; Mrs. Ruth WHITE, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Susie LENTZ, New London; and Isaac W. BAKER, Abingdon.
Other survivors are 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. BAKER was preceded in death by her husband, one son, three brothers and two sisters. She was a member of the Abingdon Church of Christ.
