Irene DOROTHY dies at 72

BATAVIA --- Irene DOROTHY, 72, Route 1, Batavia, died at 8 p.m. Sunday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gospel Lighthouse Church, Batavia, with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to the Diabetes Association and the Heart Fund.

Mrs. DOROTHY was born Feb. 19, 1914 in Jefferson County, the daughter of James and Maud McDOWELL HENDERSON and lived her entire life in the Batavia and Abingdon community. She was a member of the Abingdon Church of Christ. She married Arvid DOROTHY April 8, 1950 in Batavia. He survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Vicki HEISDORFFER of Pella and two granddaughters.
