E. B. MYERS rites Wednesday

Funeral services for Elva Bernice MYERS, 82, of Batavia, who died Monday morning, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.

She was born Oct. 11, 1903, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Nelson and Ada TURNBULL McCLEARY. She married C. E. (Tom) MYERS Jan. 22, 1927, in Ottumwa. They lived 38 years in Packwood and 22 years in Batavia. Mrs. MYERS was well known for her quilting.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Keith of Keosauqua and Kenneth of Ottumwa, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Verle ANDERSON of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles, her parents and one brother.
