Helen FRESCOLN rite Thursday

Helen H. FRESCOLN, 84, 1106 S. Third St., died at 11:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 1988, at her home. She had been in failing health.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at the funeral home starting Wednesday. A memorial has been established to the Public Health Nursing Service of Jefferson County.

Mrs. FRESCOLN was born Jan. 17, 1904 (sic - 1905), in Boulder, Colo., the daughter of Henry and Anna LUARK (sic - LEWARK) KOONS, and grew up in the Batavia community. The family also lived in Eldon and she had lived in Fairfield the last 50 years. She married Leonard N. FRESCOLN Dec. 12, 1925, at the Methodist Church in Ottumwa. He died Dec. 28, 1982. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, a charter member and life member of Chapter 1, TTT; past worthy matron of Grand Hope Chapter 66, Order of Eastern Star; a past member of White Shrine; all at Eldon.

Surviving are a son, Nelson of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Marilyn KANE of Fairfield; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister Mildred HARMON of Eldon; nieces and nephews. Two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.
