Julia M. FLINT

ELDON, IA -- Julia M. FLINT, age 84 of Havana, Illinois passed away at 4:23 AM Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home in Havana.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 28 at Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, with Pastor Bud Lane officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, November 27 at Kremer Funeral Home.

Julia was born on June 8, 1927 in Eldon, the daughter of James Tillett and Nancy McJennett (HEWITT) BLANCHARD. On August 2, 1946 she married Robert R. FLINT in Ottumwa, and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2001.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Iona GLICK of Havana, and 34 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; seven brothers, Raymond, James, Robert, Emery, Charles, Martin and John; and two sisters, Alice and Marjorie.

Julia was of the Methodist faith. She was a homemaker, and graduated from Eldon High School in 1945.

A memorial fund is being established for either the Havana Public Library, or the Eldon Public Library.
