HANEY Rites on Monday

BIRMINGHAM -- Lorenia HANEY, 84, died Thursday evening at Parkview Care Center following a lengthy illness.

She was born September 21, 1895 at Birmingham the daughter of Levi and Belle JAMESON UMPHREY. Her marriage to McKinley HANEY took place at Keosauqua Feb. 16, 1916 and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Dorsey HANEY, Batavia rural route and Merle HANEY, Fairfield rural route; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; one sister, Wealtha COUNTRYMAN, Batavia and one brother Robert UMPHREY, Birmingham. One daughter and one brother preceded her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct 15 at 11 a.m. in the Birmingham Presbyterian Church with interment in Batavia Cemetery. Memorials of your choice may be left at the Burch Funeral Home where friends may call anytime after noon on Saturday.
