Ernest V. SAMUELSON

Ernest V. SAMUELSON, 84, 204 E. Washington Ave., died at 6:50 p.m. Monday, March 28, 1994, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Innis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to organization of donor's choice.

SAMUELSON was born Sept. 21, 1909, in Hickory County, Mo., the son of Andrew and Virginia HEISEL SAMUELSON. He married Viola Pearl MESSER on June 9, 1928, at the Lutheran parsonage in Fairfield. A Fairfield resident most of this life, he worked at Eclipse Lumber Co. for 37 years as a foreman, and was affiliated with the First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Kenneth R. of St. Paul, Minn., Melvin of Muscatine, Gary of Fairfield; two daughters, Helen L. NEIDERHUTH of Stockport, Sharon SAMUELSON of Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Velma GARMOE of Mount Pleasant, Vera BAILEY of Burlington, Geneva SEIHERS of Davenport, Virginia MANLEY of Detroit; two brothers, Lloyd SAMUELSON of Central City, and Vern SAMUELSON of Fairfield. An infant son, Frederick, two brother, Victor and Clarence, and a sister, Pearl, preceded him in death.
