Funeral for E. RUBY

Elma G. RUBY, 81, Iowa City, died April 3, 1988 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

She was born Oct. 11, 1906, in Henry County, the daughter of Cliff and Eva SCARFF MILLER. She married John K. RUBY May 3, 1927, and he died Dec. 31, 1978.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Fairfield until moving to Iowa City in 1975. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and an infant daughter.

She is survived by one daughter Constance RIDENOUR of Iowa City; four sons, Leland RUBY and Donald RUBY, both of Iowa City, John RUBY of East Moline, Ill., and James RUBY of Cedar Hills, Texas.

Also surviving are four sisters; Alvena BRIGGS, Bette GOODWIN, Frances TURNER and Agnes ESKEW, all of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be anytime Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
