Mrs. Cliff MILLER, 71, died at her home, 302 S. 9th, at 3:55 a.m. today. The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home with funeral arrangements pending.
Mrs. MILLER was born Feb. 19, 1887, in Henry county. She was the daughter of James and Mary MESSER SCARFF, and was married Nov. 9, 1904 to Cliff MILLER near Mt. Pleasant.
She was a member of the Four Square church and had lived in the community for more than 35 years.
She is survived by her husband and six daughters; Agnes ESKEW, Elma RUBY, Alvena BRIGGS, Frances TURNER and Betty GOODWIN, all of Fairfield; and Wanda GREENLAND, Cedar Rapids. Eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Three sisters, Mrs. Ona ENSMINGER, Bloomfield; Mrs. Ed BEABER, Rome; and Mrs. Ida DUNNIGAN, Burlington, survive Mrs. MILLER.
Nine brothers and sisters are deceased.
