Kenneth Richard "Dick" HOOTMAN

Kenneth Richard "Dick" HOOTMAN, 65, of Rosemead, Calif., formerly of Fairfield, died Friday, Feb. 4, 1994, in California.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the American Kidney Foundation and the Diabetes Education Fund of San Gabriel, Calif.

HOOTMAN was born Oct. 12, 1928, at Fairfield, the son of Kenneth E. and Marie BOUGHNER HOOTMAN. He grew up in Fairfield and attended Fairfield schools. On Feb. 16, 1979, he married Betty J. MECK at Fairfield. He was district storekeeper for Southern California Gas. Co.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Steven HERZBERG of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Mary EDWARDS of Kansas City, Mo., Linda DAVIS and Teresa ROSENE, both of Casper, Wyo., Roseanne HOOTMAN of Birmingham; two step-daughters, Sherri RICHARDSON of Ainsworth, Kayla MECK of Libertyville; a step-son, Dana WHITE, serving in the U.S. Air Force; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carroll of Green Bay, Wis., Dwayne of Fairfield, Charles "Sonny" of Winter Park, Fla.; two sisters, Rosemary RAMBO of Libertyville and Beverly MOORE of Birmingham. He was preceded in death by his parents.
