Kenneth E. HOOTMAN, 80, former longtime city employee, died at 3:50 a.m. today at the Parkview Care Center where he had been a resident since May 1979.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
Kenneth E. HOOTMAN was born Sept. 27, 1902 in Van Buren County, the son of Charles & Mina KIMMEL HOOTMAN. He moved to Fairfield in 1928 and was employed by the City of Fairfield for 50 years.
He was married to Marie BOUGHNER Feb. 1, 1928 at Fairfield. She preceded him in death March 5, 1980. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and two sisters.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters: Kenneth Richard, Rosemead, Calif.; Carroll, Green Bay, Wisc.; Dewayne and Charles "Sonny", both of Fairfield: Rose Mary RAMBO, Fairfield, and Beverly MOORE. Birmingham.
Other survivors include 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred HOOTMAN, Fairfield, and two sisters, Georgia BAGBY, Fairfield and Pearl France, Hedrick.
