Rites Pending

Mrs. Verl GREENLAND, 68, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Fairfield, died Monday night at Merch Hospital in Cedar Rapids (note: in Linn Co., IA).

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

Mrs. GREENLAND was the former Wanda MILLER.

GREENLAND Rites Set

Services for Mrs. Verl (Wanda) GREENLAND, 68, will be Thursday at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Rites will be at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. GREENLAND, a former Fairfield resident, died Monday night at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

She was born July 1, 1907 (sic), at Fairfield, the daughter of Clifford and Eva SCARFF MILLER. She spent over 50 years of her life in the Fairfield community until she and her husband moved to Iowa City and more recently to Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. GREENLAND was a graduate of the Fairfield High School and a member of the United Methodist Church.

Her marriage to Verl GREENLAND took place Jan. 19, 1929, and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Roger, Cedar Rapids, and Gary, Rhinelander, Wis.; six grandchildren; and five sisters; Mrs. Agnes ASKEW (sic - ESKEW), Fairfield; Mrs. Elma RUBY, Iowa City; Mrs, Alvena BRIGGS, Fairfield; Mrs. Frances TURNER, Fairfield; and Mrs. Betty GOODWIN, Fairfield.

The family home is at 5617 "D" Avenue N.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

CARD OF THANKS

We wish to express our thanks to all friends and relatives for their kindness during Wanda's illness and for the flowers and cards of sympathy following the death of our loved one; the Four-square ladies who prepapred and served the dinner, Rev. and Mrs. Hickman for their visits and prayers, and St. Mary's church for the use of DeCoursey Hall. We will always be grateful. God bless you all.
