Verl GREENLAND, 85, of North Highlands, Calif., formerly of Fairfield and Eldon, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1993, in a Sacramento, Calif. hospital.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Verl Edward GREENLAND

The service for Verl Edward GREENLAND, 85, of North Highlands, Calif., formerly of Fairfield, who died at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 1993, in Kiser Hospital in Sacramento, Calif., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Homes with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight.

GREENLAND was born Dec. 3, 1907, in Eldon, the son of John and Minnie GREENLAND. He married Wanda MILLER on Jan. 19, 1929. She died October 25, 1976. He married Norma MOORE in 1977 in Sacramento. He worked at Iowa Malleable Iron Works for 10 years, then for 34 years he was a self-employed concrete contractor for Fairfield, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. He had lived in Sacramento the past 16 years. He was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Roger of Cedar Rapids, Gary of Rhinelander, Wis.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dewey of Cedar Rapids. A brother, Lloyd, preceded him in death.
