Mrs. C. E. ADKINS

FAIRFIELD - Mrs. C. E. ADKINS, 1003 West Jackson street, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Rebecca BROWN, 204 East Monroe street, a 9:30 p.m. Oct. 23. She was 35 years old.

Death terminated a long illness.

Alice Louise BROWN, daughter of Claude M. and Rebecca Ann MESSER BROWN, was born at Fairfield on Jan. 30, 1920, and was married to C. E. Adkins on Dec. 23, 1935.

Besides her mother and her husband, Mrs. ADKINS leaves a son and two daughters: Charles, Jill Odette and Jo Dee ADKINS, all at home, and three brothers and seven sisters: Charles BROWN, Colona, Ill.; Harold BROWN, Park Ridge, Ill.; Clifford BROWN, Cambridge, Ia., Mrs. Agnes PLANTS, Inglewood. Calif.; Mrs. Ruth GRAFF, Davenport; Mrs. Baunita REEVES, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc.; Mrs. Jesie ERNST, Ottumwa; Mrs. Eulalia SALVANO, Saratoga, Calif.; Mrs. Harriet ALLISON, Aurora, Colo., and Mrs. Catherine JOHNSON, of Fairfield.

Mrs. ADKINS' father died Jan. 8. Services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. S. P. Williamson, pastor of First Christian church, will officiate, and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
