George PEEBLER Rites Thursday

BATAVIA, Ia. ---- Funeral services for George B. PEEBLER, 95, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Brethren church near Libertyville.

PEEBLER, lifelong resident of this county, died Monday at Jefferson County hospital where he had been a patient for six days.

Last rites will be conducted by the Rev. Harley Yates with burial in Brethren cemetery. The body is at Campbell Funeral chapel in Batavia.

PEEBLER was a retired farmer and elevator operator. He owned & operated the Batavia Elevator for 27 years. He was born Jan, 31, 1862 in Jefferson county, the son of Ellis and Delilah BROWN PEEBLER. He was married to Ida L. FELL Feb. 4, 1886. She preceded him in death in 1942.

PEEBLER was a member of the Brethren church. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Faye McDOWELL, Batavia; Mrs. Irma COPELAND, Libertyville; Mrs. Inez PENCE, Fairfield; Glenn PEEBLER and Wayne PEEBLER, both of Batavia.

Ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Kate ACTON, Batavia; and a brother, James PEEBLER, Delta, Colo.; also survive.
