Funeral For W. A. FRANKLIN

Services for William A. FRANKLIN, 76, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

FRANKLIN, a former resident of Van Buren County, died June 19 at Stockton, Calif. Services will be conducted by the Rev, Ned Gillum. Military rites by the Fairfield American Legion Post will be held at Brethren Cemetery near Libertyville.

FRANKLIN was born Feb. 24, 1893. the son of Grant and Hanna BONNETT FRANKLIN. He was married to Ruth L. DAVISSON on March, 1918. She died Oct. 7, 1956. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by 13 children: Mrs. Elizabeth JORGENSON, Mrs. Maxine ENGELHART, Mrs. Betty MINOR, Mrs. Darlene REALON, Mrs. Nancy ANCHETA, all of Stockton, Calif.; Mrs. Leola DODGE of San Pablo, Calif.; Mrs. Thelma HUMPHREY of Lodi, Calif; Gerald FRANKLIN of Carmichael, Calif.; Guy FRANKLIN of Fairfield; Paul L. FRANKLIN of Fairfield; Donald FRANKLIN of Winfield; Merel FRANKLIN, Ottumwa and Warner FRANKLIN, Batavia. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Ralph FRANKLIN of Fairfield, Robert FRANKLIN of Keosauqua and Emery FRANKLIN of Bonaparte.

He was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and one sister.
