HANEY Rites Held Today

BATAVIA -- Walter L. HANEY, 83, died Sunday at 4:55 a.m. at the Sunny Slope Extended Care Center at Ottumwa. His death followed an extended illness.

Graveside services were held today at 2 p.m. at the Fell Cemetery in Libertyville with the Rev. Robert Cummings officiating. The Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon was in charge of the arrangements.

Walter L. HANEY was born April 9, 1890, in Ringgold County, the son of Harvey and Anna GRAMMAR HANEY. He spent most of his life in Jefferson and Van Buren Counties.

A memorial has been established payable to the Cancer Fund.
