HANEY Rites Wednesday

BATAVIA -- Mrs. Bertha HANEY, 89, died Saturday, April 9 at 6 p.m. at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. She had been in failing health the past 1 1/2 years.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black in charge. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery.

Mrs. HANEY was born Sept. 4, 1887 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Charles and Miriam NEWLAND McBRIDE, and lived in the Batavia area all her life.

She was a member of the Libertyville Church of the Brethren. She was married to Myron HANEY who died in 1929.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Pauline PEEBLER of rural Batavia, three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two brother, Frank McBRIDE of the Batavia area, and Isaac McBRIDE of Keosauqua.
