LeRoy STUTZMAN

LeRoy M. STUTZMAN, 51, of Route 2, Lockridge, died at 5:37 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 1994, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Bom Dec. 27, 1942, north of Rome, he was the son of Max H. and A. Mae ERICSON STUTZMAN. He married Hazel A. PRATT on Dec. 7, 1961, at Kahoka, Mo.

Mr. STUTZMAN had farmed near Lockridge all of his life and had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant at Middletown, for Rome Sand and Gravel, for the Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline Co., Graber's Services, and for Herb Smithburg at Lockridge.

He attended the Lockridge Baptist Church and sponsored the David Goble Racing Team.

Survivors include his wife of rural Lockridge; two sons, John STUTZMAN of rural Lockridge and Rick PRATT of Alamosa, Colo.; two daughters, Kelly HARBIN of Lockridge and Shelly STUTZMAN, at home; seven grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie JANNINGS of Lockridge; six nephews; seven great-nephews; and two great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Weir Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

The funeral for Mr. STUTZMAN will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lockridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Iles, the Rev. Edward Newman and Mr. Larry Jannings officiating. Burial will be in the Lockridge Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the Lockridge First Responders and the Lockridge Fire Department.
