Mary MESSER

Mary Viola MESSER, 96 formerly of Lockridge, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, in Crystal River, Fla.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Millard White officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home with the family present from 7-8:30 p.m. today. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Lockridge Cemetery.

Mrs. MESSER was born Feb. 9, 1903, in Wayland, a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth KILBURN JEFFREY. She married William MESSER Oct. 25, 1922, in Henry County. He died June 21, 1943.

After her marriage she lived on a farm north of Lockridge. For the past few years, she has been living with her daughter in Florida.

She was a member of the Lockridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Carrie HOLLOWAY of Homosassa Springs, Fla.; three sons, Kenneth MESSER of Hillsboro, Guy MESSER of Spokane, Wash., and Elgie MESSER of Yukon, Wash.; and 20 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband. she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, two sisters and four brothers.
