P. H. HESTON died Sund. at his home four miles s.w. of the city. Heart disease. Age 68. Survived by wife and four children: Claude of this city; Dwight on the home farm, and Burke and Louie HESTON of Libertyville.

P. H. HESTON, born near Pleasant Plain in 1850; married Miss Mattie LIVINGSTON of Richmond.... four sons. Also survived by wife and two brothers, Lem HESTON of Middletown, Idaho, and Henry HESTON of Des Moines.

Phineas H. HESTON was born in Jefferson County, near Pleasant Plain, Iowa, Nov. 17, 1850 and died at his home near Libertyville, Iowa, Mar. 16, 1919 aged 68-3-29; married Mattie E. LIVINGSTON Mar. 20 1877; 5 sons, four living. He went to Jasper County in 1875, two years before his marriage. In 1884 the family moved to Ida County where they resided 8 years. They came back to Jefferson Co. in 1892 and bought the farm n.e. of Libertyville which has since been their home. (Quoted from, or also published in, The "Fairfield Tribune".)
