Norman J. PIERSON

Norman J. PIERSON, 55, of Ocala, Fla., died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.

Burial of his cremains will be at a later date in Iowa.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Foundatoin.

Mr. PIERSON was born April 16, 1956, in Fairfield, the son of John and Bonnie PIERSON.

Mr. PIERSON grew up on the family farm and joined the United States Marine Corps after high school. After his honorable discharge in 1976, Mr. PIERSON attended broadcasting school in Minneapolis and then took a job at the local radio station. He advanced to a position with KBKB Radio in Fort Madison and then WLTQ in Milwaukee, Wis., where he lived 20 years. In 2004, he moved his family to Ocala, Fla., and worked at the Re-Entry Center.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kathleen; one daughter, Emily of Ocala, Fla.; and one brother, Steven of Minneapolis, Minn.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Nicholas; and one infant sister.
