MOTHER AND INFANT DAUGHTER TAKEN

Mrs. Willis HILDEBRAND, 25, formerly of Salem vicinity, died at the University hospital in Iowa City Thursday night about 24 hours after her one-day old baby, Sylvia Sue HILDEBRAND, had died.

The former Lois WAGGONER of Fairfield she was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray WAGGONER. The husband S/SGT Willis HILDEBRAND, who had come from New Mexico where he had been convalescing from wounds suffered in the European theater in January, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. O. H. HILDEBRAND of Lockridge. He arrived a few days ago on furlough. A daughter, Judith Kay, 16 months old, also survives.

The funeral services for the infant were held this afternoon in charge of the Rev. Alton Koch.

Mrs. HILDEBRAND's funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Four Corner's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Koch officiating.
