LOCKRIDGE -- The funeral service for Dillon E. GRAF, 87, rural Lockridge, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Weir Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Mark Matthews and Rev. Gib Widmer officiating.
GRAF died Friday night at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
He was born Sept. 27, 1899, northeast of Lockridge to Christopher and Carry HAINES GRAF. He married Nina F. SPANGLER June 2, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant.
GRAF had retired after 32 years as chief engineer at the Mount Pleasant city light plant. He also had farmed and worked at Chittenden & Eastman Furniture in Burlington.
GRAF was a member of the Church of the Open Bible in Mount Pleasant. In addition to his wife, Graf is survived by one son, Gerald of Des Moines; three daughters, Betty ROSS of Mount Pleasant, Lorna WESELY of rural Lockridge and Glenda BOTTORFF of Indianola; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment will be in Lockridge Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Henry County Heart Fund.
