Mrs. Carrie GRAFF Taken By Death

Mrs. Carrie GRAFF, 88, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank FARR, at 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

Born June 19, 1871, in Henry county near Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of Samuel and Eliza Jane (MESSER) HAINES.

On Oct. 23, 1890, she was married in Mt. Pleasant to Christian E. GRAFF, who died in 1944 (sic - December, 1943).

Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Walter (Edith) RUKGABER, Washington, Ia., and Mrs. Frank (Nellie) FARR, Mt. Pleasant; one son, Dillon GRAFF, Mt. Pleasant; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Barbara OLINGER, Milton, Ia.

Her parents, two daughters, six sisters, and four brothers predeceased her.

Services will be held at the Weir-Cookes Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, with the Rev. John W. Chase, pastor of the Open Bible church officiating.

Interment will be in Lockridge cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 7 and 8:30 p.m.
