Jack DOUGLAS

Jack L. DOUGLAS, 69, of Lockridge, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, 1998, at his home.

Born March 26, 1929, in Jefferson County, he was the son of Chester A. and Grace Lela HAMMONS DOUGLAS. On Aug. 5, 1950, he married Lola Evelyn HAINES in Iowa City.

Mr. DOUGLAS lived for 41 years in the same location. He was a farmer in Round Prairie Township most of his life. He was a Korean War Marine veteran and was a member of Lockridge Rough Riders.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Vickie L. DOUGLAS CORBIN of Lockridge; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Gertrude LITE of Mount Pleasant and Dorothy SAMS of Mediapolis; and one brother, Bill DOUGLAS of Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The funeral for Mr. DOUGLAS will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Prickett officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for Lockridge First Responders or the donor's choice.
