Addie MESSER, 92, of Parkview Care Center, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1996, at the care center.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Norman Channel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Open visitation will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.
Mrs. MESSER was born April 29, 1904, in Carman, Ill., the daughter of Silas and Elizabeth BUCHANAN JENKS. On July 30, 1925, she married Basil MESSER at Mount Pleasant. He died Nov. 21, 1987. A resident of the Fairfield community most of her life, she was a homemaker and had been employed at Dream Motel and Bill's Serv-U.
Surviving are two daughters, Lorraine PACHECO of Santa Fe, N.M., Josephine THOMAS of Fairfield; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, Donald JENKS of West Liberty. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Sarah GARDNER, Ethel WILLIAMS, Lola JENKS, and twin sister, Ada WILSON; and a brother, Arnold JENKS.
