Robert J. PRUNTY

Robert "Bob" J. PRUNTY, 81, of Ozark Acres, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at White River Medical Center in Batesville Ark.

The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. today at Health Oak Chapel in Hardy, Ark. A graveside service will be held in Fairfield at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Heath Funeral Home-Oak Hill Chapel in Hardy was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. PRUNTY retired as manager of Continental Oil Co.. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was officiated with Hardy Methodist Church in Hardy.

Survivors include his wife, Frances PRUNTY; two sons. Robert PRUNTY of Tiskilwa, Ill., and Vern PRUNTY of Des Moines; two daughters, Barbara MERCER of Fairfield, and Elaine LEWIS of Alvarado, Texas; two sisters, Lula Mae ROCKWELL of Ankeny, and Marie MUN of Macon, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren.

Buried: Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Evergreen 94, space 5
