Wanda Mae GILL

Wanda Mae GILL, 74, of Fairfield, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, July 12, 1999, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Born July 8, 1925, in Rome, she was the daughter of Clem and Lottie MESSER SAMMONS. On May 9, 1942, she married Kenneth H. GILL in Kahoka, Mo.

Mrs. GILL lived most of her life in Jefferson County and had previously lived in Warrensburg, Mo. She was a homemaker and a seamstress.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Kenneth L. GILL and Jim GILL, both of Warrensburg, Jerry GILL of Eldon, Richard GILL of Mount Pleasant, and Randy GILL of Nixa, Mo.; one daughter, Tanja WILCOX of Warrensburg; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cecil MILKS and Esther ROUSH, both of Mount Pleasant, and Hazel GARRISON of New London; and two brothers, Coke SAMMONS and Gerald SAMMONS, both of Mount Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

There will be no family visitation.

The graveside service for Mrs. GILL will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield, with Mr. Carl Wilhoit officiating.

A memorial has been established.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.

Buried: Memorial Lawn Cemetery, St. Mary’s 51, space 4
