Davis Rites Held Today

Last rites were held today for J. Warren DAVIS, 70, Fairfield resident who died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at his home, 1104 S. Third.

He had been in failing health the past six months and serious the past week.

The services today were held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Wright officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.

J. Warren DAVIS was born June 12, 1903, at Richland, the son of Jean and Anna Belle YULE DAVIS. He was married Nov. 22, 1922, to Vernie PEEBLER who survives.

After living most of his life in the Libertyville and Batavia Communities, he moved to Fairfield a year ago from Batavia. He was a caprenter before his retirement, and a member of the Batavia Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his widow, DAVIS is survived by one son, Ronald R., Fort Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Robert COCHRAN, Fairfield; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. William WAUGH, Fairfield; Mrs. Harold GREESON, Richland; Mrs. C.M. ARMSTRONG, Danville; and Samuel DAVIS, Wellman, Frank DAVIS, Stockport.

He was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.

(I research the PEEBLER lineage as connected to the RODABAUGH/RODIBAUGH lines.)
