Katie MYERS dies at 89

Katie Kie MYERS, 89, native of Jefferson County, died at 7:10 a.m. today at Parkview Care Center.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Katie Kie MYERS was born Jan. 19, 1891, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of John F. and Clara RENO STANFORD. She lived her entire life in Jefferson County.

She was married Feb. 3, 1909, to Walter A. MYERS in Fairfield. He died Nov. 8, 1969.

Mrs. MYERS was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Libertyville.

Survivors include two sons, Orval, Ottumwa, and Robert, Fairfield; one daughter, Marjorie HERRIOTT of Indiana. Also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, four sisters and a great-grandchild.
