Mary I. MYERS

Mary I. MYERS, 86, 1007 S. Second St., died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 1996, at Nelson Nursing Home. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Nelson Nursing Home Activity Fund.

Mrs. MYERS was born March 18, 1909, in Packwood, the daughter of William and Anna KENYON MILLS. A resident of the Packwood and Fairfield communities most of her life, she graduated from Packwood High School. On March 18, 1930, she married Zerle "Preach" MYERS. He died Oct. 28, 1968. She was a bookkeeper for A. D. Hayes Grain and Feed Co. in Fairfield. She was a member of the Packwood United Methodist Church, Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, and a charter and 50-year member of Chapter F, TTT.

Surviving are a son, J. Roy of Fairfield, two grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma; two sisters, Ferne MILLS and Marie NELSON, and a grandson.
