Warner M. FRANKLIN

PACKWOOD -- The service for Warner M. FRANKLIN, 59, of Packwood, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996, at his home, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Prairie View United Methodist Church in Packwood, with the Rev. Dennis Coon officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 tonight at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. A memorial has been established to the Prairie View United Methodist Church building fund.

FRANKLIN was born July 14, 1936 in Birmingham, the son of William A. and Ruth DAVISSON FRANKLIN. He grew up in Birmingham, moved to California, and returned to Packwood in his sophomore year of high school, graduating from Packwood High School. On Sept. 13, 1959, he married Kathryn MYERS in Packwood.

A Packwood resident since then, he was engaged in farming. He was a member of Prairie View United Methodist Church, and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, David of Cedar Rapids, Gregory at home; two daughters, Jane SCHULTZ of Greensboro, N.C., Patricia UNDERWOOD of Hickory, N.C.; two grandsons; five brothers, Guy of Fairfield, Paul of Indianola, Don of Winfield, Gerald of Sacramento, Calif.; six sisters, Leola DODGE, Maxine ENGLEHART, Betty MINOR, Darlene SULLIVAN, Nancy ANCHETTA and Thelma HUMPHREY, all living in California. His parents, a sister Elizabeth JORGENSON, and infant brother preceded him in death.
