Service for Mrs. DAVIS

Georgia Marie DAVIS, 77, of Stockport, died Tuesday night at her home.

The service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with Elder Jerry Schoeni of Keosauqua officiating.

Burial will be in Smith Cemetery north of Batavia. Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to her church or to Jefferson County Hospital.

Mrs. DAVIS was born April 24, 1903 north of Batavia, the daughter of Edmond and Nellie W. SMITH HUDSON. She was reared and educated in the Batavia and Libertyville area and lived most of her life in that area before moving to Stockport in 1964. She married Harley L. McGUIRE in 1922. On Feb. 24, 1932, she married Leomer Bryon DAVIS at Lancaster, Mo. He died Sept. 22, 1961.

Surviving are threes daughters, Alberta GRAHAM, Salt Lake city, Utah, Alta PHILIPS, Creve Coeur, Ill., Mrs. Raymond HUPP, Libertyville; one son Kenneth DAVIS, Stockport; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dewey HUDSON and one sister, Jessie PRINCE, both of Batavia. A stepson and granddaughter preceded her in death.

Mrs. DAVIS was an LPN at Jefferson County Hospital for 19 years and at Parkview Care Center until 1970. After that she was a private care nurse. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Keosauqua.
