Lealin E. BOECKER, 63, of rural Keosauqua, died of cancer at 3:20 a.m. today, Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Van Buren County Hosptial in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will open at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present form 4-6 p.m.

Memorials made to Center Chapel Church may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 23132 Osage Ave., Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. BOECKER was born March 17, 1940, in Keokuk, the daughter of Harry L. and Edna GULICK McINTOSH. She married Marvin D. BOECKER April 23, 1961, in Center Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Keosauqua.

She grew up and lived her entire life on the same farm in the Center Chapel neighborhood, southeast of Keosauqua. She graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1957, and from Burlington Beauty Academy in 1958. In addition to being a farm wife, she worked as a cook at Van Buren County Hospital.

She was a life-long member of Center Chapel United Methodist church and United Methodist Women and a member of Beer-Barker Post 113, American Legion Auxiliary in Keosauqua and Twin City Chapter 258 and Order of Eastern Star in Douds.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Emily BOECKER of Keosauqua; and Sara BOECKER of North Lewisburg, Ohio; two sons, Charles BOECKER of Keosauqua and Allen BOECKER and wife Tanya of Moulton; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. BOECKER was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy.
