Wayne Milo ECKWALL

Wayne Milo ECKWALL, 54, of 1902 Teak Ave., died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, on his farm.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization or charity of the donors choice.

Mr. ECKWALL was born Oct. 3, 1948, in Jefferson County, the son of Milo Harvey and Thelma BEKEL ECKWALL. He married Loretta WILEY Oct. 20, 1968.

Mr. ECKWALL was educated in the Fairfield schools, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1966. He was employed at The Dexter Company in quality control for seven years, worked as a jailer at the Jefferson County Law Center for 10 years, was a self-employed farmer, and a master sergeant for the state headquarters facilities office of the Iowa Army National Guard, serving in that capacity in Fairfield and Des Moines for a 36 years.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Terry ECKWALL and wife Kelli of Fairfield; one grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; one brother, Gary ECKWALL of Fairfield; and one sister, Charlotte STIVERS of Mundelein, Ill.

Mr. ECKWALL was preceded in death by his parents; and twin grandsons.
