MARY HAYNES DIES IN CITY

Fairfield Woman Born In Germany Summoned Here Last Night

Mrs. Mary HAYNES, who was born December 7, 1875, in Germany, died last night at her home at 1200 East Adams street, at 8:30 p.m., after a few days illness. The body was taken to the Hoskins Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Mrs. HAYNES is survived by the following children: Clyde of Mt. Zion; Mrs. Earl HENDRICKS, Charles and Percy of Fairfield. Her husband (sic. Clarence Edward HAYNES, 1875-1926) preceded her in death on February 4, 1926.

She leaves two brothers, John BLUHM of Fairfield, and Herman BLUHM of Meno, Oklahoma. She came to the country when a small girl and has made her home in and near Fairfield ever since. She was a member of the Degree of Honor Protective Association and the W. R. C.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. HAYNES

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary HAYNES were held this afternoon, at the Hoskins funeral home in this city, in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery.

Mary BLUHM HAYNES

Mary G. BLUHM, daughter of Herman and Fredricka BLUHM was born in Germany Dec. 9, 1875. When 5 years old she came to Fairfield, Iowa where she has made her home. On Aug. 22, 1900 she was united in marriage to Clarence HAYNES of this city. To this union 5 children were born, Clyde of Keosauqua, Mrs. Gertie HENDRICKS, Charles, Hugh and Percy HAYNES all of this city. She was preceded in death by her husband Feb. 4, 1926 and one son Hugh April 21, 1932. Besides the surviving children are two brothers, John R. BLUHM who made his home with her, and Herman C. BLUHM of Meno, Okla., and six grandchildren. She was well liked by all who knew her, and was a kind and loving mother. And leaves a host of friends. After a short illness she passed away quietly at her home Jan. 18, 1935.

She was amember (sic) of the W. R. C. and Degree of Honor.

Funeral services were held from the Hoskins funeral home on Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. S. P. Williamson of the First Christian church. The remains were interred in Evergreen cemetery. The degree of honor ritual service was read at the funeral home.

RKT note: Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. 2nd.260. Her headstone is engraved with her name and DOB/DOD; also that of another son, Hugh Ralph HAYNES (1910-1932) who is also buried in the same plot. A third 'pre-need' inscription for son Percy Clarence HAYNES has only the DOB year of 1913 engraved. Percy was born on April 14, 1913 and died May 4, 1990. He is not, however, buried in this plot nor in Evergreen cemetery according to cemetery officials consulted. His SSDI listed Phoenix, AZ in his DOD entry, but whether or not he died and is buried there isn't certain.

Mary's husband, Clarence Edward HAYNES. died on February 4, 1926 and is buried in 1st.051 in the same plot as his parents and a sister.
