Saturday, December 4, 1982Monday rites for Mrs. ABBEY
DAVENPORT -- Services for former Fairfield resident Marian ABBEY will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Runge Mortuary in Davenport. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening at the mortuary. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield at 3 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. ABBEY, 88, died Thursday at Davenport Osteopathic Hospital after an extended illness.
Marian BROWN was born May 10, 1894 in Lockridge. She married Allen ABBEY on Dec. 6, 1930, in Missouri. The couple lived in Fairfield before moving to Davenport.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. ABBEY is survived by three daughters, Pauline TROUT, Fairfield; Maxine BATES, Davenport; and Frances SCHAFER, Davenport. Two sons, Forest and Leland ABBEY, survive in California and Florida.
A sister, Blanche ROGERS of Shenandoah, survives, as do five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
