Lola RANARD rite Thursday

ANKENY -- Lola Belle RANARD, 56, 513 SW Maple St., Ankeny, 50021, former Fairfield area resident, died Monday afternoon, Aug. 29, 1988, at her home.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ankeny Funeral Home in Ankeny with the Rev. Robert Lake officiating. A graveside service and burial will be at 4 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery at Fairfield. Visitation is from 4 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Ankeny United Church of Christ.

Mrs. RANARD was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Jefferson county, the daughter of Earl and Helen BILLINGSLEY FICKEL. She attended school in Libertyville and graduated from Fairfield High School. She was a certified occupational health nurse at U.S. West Communications in Des Moines for 17 years. On Sept. 6, 1952, she married Larry RANARD at Fairfield. She was a member of Ankeny United Church of Christ and was active in a number of organizations including Order of Eastern Star and several professional organizations.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Monna Kay OHME of Rockford, Ill., Marlis GILBERT of Ankeny; a son, Wesley J. of Jefferson City, Mo.; three grandchildren; her mother of Indianola; two brothers, Robert W. FICKEL of Letts, Donald E. FICKEL of Fairfield; three sisters, Marilyn KORSEBERG of Washburn, Wis., Dorothy J. CRAWFORD of Houston and Mary Sue FICKEL of Clear Lake. Her father preceded her in death.
