Gayle R. RANARD, 71, 309 E. Briggs Ave., died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 1993, at his home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Jefferson County Hospital.
RANARD was born April 2, 1922, in Fairfield, the son of Walker (sic - Joseph Walker) and Mabel HAWBAKER RANARD. He married Lelia ENSMINGER on June 27, 1942, in Kohoka, Mo. A lifelong resident of the Fairfield community, he served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II, was employed as a leadman for Dexter Co., for 45 years, retiring in 1986.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert of Plainsboro, N.J.; two daughters, Sister Linda Anne RANARD of Columbia, Pa., Debbie BROBSTON of Fredericksburg, Va.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Grace, Rosetta, Caroline, Susie, Phyllis, Della; seven brothers, Walt, Clyde, Bob, Ken, John, Delbert, and one in infancy.
