Patricia Ann SAMUELSON

Patricia Ann SAMUELSON, 80, formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at home in Sun City Center, Fla.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 3 at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Sun City Center, Fla. A graveside memorial will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sun City Center Florida Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sun City Center Emergency Squad or Sun City Center Life Path Hospice. Cards and memorials may be sent to Merlin "Sammy" SAMUELSON at 2511 Locksley St., Sun City Center, FL 33573.

Mrs. SAMUELSON was born March 5, 1931, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Lester and Mabel HAYES. She married Sammy SAMUELSON April 20, 1948, in Fairfield.

The SAMUELSONs lived most of their lives in Fairfield, where they raised a family and built a family business. They moved to Sun City Center, Fla., in 1997.

Mrs. SAMUELSON was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church.

Her hobbies included playing cards, ballroom dancing, socializing with friends, traveling with her husband, cherishing her family, dancing with friends in Polishville and spending time in Branson, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters: Linda BYERS and husband Dennis of Bradenton, Fla., and Debbie MUNN and husband Chris of Naples, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Ruth HAYES.

Patricia Ann SAMUELSON

Patricia Ann SAMUELSON, 80, formerly of Fairfield, Iowa, passed away peacefully, September 21, 2011 at her home in Sun City Center, Florida.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Sun City Center, FL. A Grave Site Memorial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2011, at her final resting place of Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa, with a Celebration of Life to follow at the First Lutheran Church.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Merlin "Sammy" SAMUELSON, 2 daughters: Linda (Dennis) BYERS of Bradenton, Fl. and Debbie (Chris) MUNN of Naples, Fl; 5 grandchildren: Lisa BYERS, Todd BYERS, Jason BYERS, Marc MUNN and Meggan (Pat) LOWELL; and 2 great-grandchildren: Brook MUNN and Ella LOWELL. She is dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Sun City Center Florida Redeemer Lutheran church, Sun City Center Emergency Squad or Sun City Center Life Path Hospice. Pat and her husband were life long members of the First Lutheran Church and lived most of their lives in Fairfield raising a family, enjoying their grandchildren and building a family business. Pat and her husband Sammy moved to Sun City Center Florida in 1997.

Pat's hobbies included playing cards, ball room dancing, socializing with friends, traveling with her husband and most importantly cherisihing her family. Favorite past times included dancing with friends in Polishville, IA, spending time in Branson, MO. and enjoying the hobby of flying alongside her husband to the many places they traveled over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Lester and Mabel HAYES and 1 sister: Ruth HAYES.
