Marilyn L. WARE

Marily L. WARE, 86, of Newton, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, in Skiff Hospice, Monarch Wing.

A private graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 3, in the veterans' section at Newton Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Skiff Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are in the care of Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton.

Mrs. WARE was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Fairfield, the daughter of Elbert and Pansy HOOPER LITTLE. She married John Jack WARE Nov. 3, 1944, in Newton. He died June 17, 2007.

Mrs. WARE was a 1943 graduate of Fairfield High School. She attended Western Union Trade School in Crawfordsville Ind., and from there was sent to Newton to work at the local Western Union office.

Mrs. WARE was a member of Newton First Lutheran Church for more than 50 years.

She enjoyed spending time with family and reading.

Survivors include one son, Gary WARE; one grandson; and one brother in Aurora, Colo.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
