Bruce Eldon PLUM

Bruce Eldon PLUM, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at his home in Fairfield.

Per his request there will be no funeral, but friends may stop by the family home this afternoon at 1202 Liberty Drive in Fairfield.

Memorials in memory of Mr. PLUM may be made to First United Methodist Church, Hospice of Central Iowa or to the Fairfield Public Library. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Esther PLUM at 1202 Liberty Drive, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. PLUM was born April 22, 1925, in Marshalltown, the son of Lloyd and Sarah ROBB PLUM. He married Esther HELGELAND March 2, 1951, in Ames.

Mr. PLUM attended Iowa State University and worked as a forester for the state of Iowa for 31 years. He also was a Navy veteran and served his country during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lloyd PLUM II and wife Ardeth of Tillamook, Ore., and Stan PLUM and wife Debi of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Buelah CASH of Lordsberg, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
